What Is Agar Super Nova?
Agar Super Nova is a super-glossy, rock-hard floor sealer for vinyl, sealed timber and terrazzo floors. It is so tough and mark-resistant that it holds its shine even without buffing, yet it still responds well to burnishing when a machine is available. Super Nova is Agar’s dedicated buff-free sealer in its hard floor care range, alongside Duro, 3D-Gloss and Tuff Gloss.

How Does Agar Super Nova Work?
Agar Super Nova is mopped on directly, with no dilution ratio required, and builds a tough, rock-hard film across two to five coats. Because the film is engineered to hold its gloss on its own, floors can be maintained without a buffing machine, though Super Nova will also respond well to being buffed for sites that do have burnishing equipment on hand.
How to Apply Agar Super Nova
Before applying, remove any adhesive, built-up polish, wax or other soiling using Ultrastrip, Demolish or STR-36, then rinse the floor, allow it to dry and fringe-mop to remove dust. Mop on 2-5 coats of Agar Super Nova, allowing 20-30 minutes drying time between coats, then allow the final coat to harden overnight before opening the floor to traffic. Do not apply Agar Super Nova to a very cold floor of 9°C or less.

What Surfaces Can Agar Super Nova Be Used On?
Agar Super Nova is a non-slip polish for vinyl, sealed timber and terrazzo floors. It repels scuffs, scratches and traffic marks and is ideal for floors that receive minimal maintenance, since it holds its shine without needing a buffing machine.
Acrylic sealers such as Agar Super Nova are not suitable for use on non-porous ceramic or porcelain tiles. Before sealing ceramic tiles, pre-test the sealer first: lay two coats of Agar Super Nova on one tile, let it dry, then press adhesive packaging tape onto the tile and rip it off. If the sealer stays bonded to the tile it is safe to use across the floor; if the polish peels off, the tiles cannot be sealed with Super Nova and Agar Stone Block should be used instead.
