Tips for Choosing Kitchen Chemicals

Match machine detergents to your dishwasher and water conditions, and check with your machine technician if you are unsure. Caustic oven cleaners work quickly on heavy carbon but need gloves and eye protection, so read the SDS before use. After cleaning, food-contact surfaces may also need a sanitiser from our disinfectants and sanitisers range.

Kitchens also go through disposable gloves and heavy-duty wipes quickly, and both can be added to the same quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between dishwasher detergent and rinse aid?

The detergent cleans the dishes during the wash cycle. Rinse aid helps water sheet off during the final rinse so dishes and glassware dry faster with fewer spots.

Can I use hand dishwashing liquid in a dishwasher?

No. Hand dishwashing liquids foam heavily and are not designed for machines. Use a machine detergent such as Agar Autodish instead.

Which product suits a combi oven?

Agar Combi-Oven Cleaner is made for this purpose. Check your oven manufacturer’s cleaning instructions as well.
