What is Grill Clean?
A strong, quick-working alkaline liquid that breaks down carbon, fat and baked-on food residue. It helps commercial kitchens keep grills, ranges, ovens and hotplates in a hygienically clean state.

How Does It Work?
Caustic potash in the formula goes to work quickly on burnt-on protein residues and fats. Carefully chosen surfactants emulsify and disperse carbon, fatty, oily and proteinaceous residues, so the surface rinses clean once it has been scrubbed.

Agar Grill Clean Dilution Guide
| Task / soil level | Recommended use |

| Ovens | Preheat to 60°C, then switch the oven off. Apply neat GRILL CLEAN onto surfaces and leave 5 minutes to activate. Use a scraper or stiff brush to loosen carbon build-up. Take up the dissolved solids with a damp cloth, then give the surface a thorough rinse with clean water. |
| Grills & Hotplates | Once cooking is finished, switch the hotplate off and let it cool for 5 minutes. Aim for a warm surface rather than one at full heat. Scrape food residues off then apply neat GRILL CLEAN. Keep it wet and give it 10-15 minutes to activate. Work it over with a griddle pad, spatula or brush, then wipe the surface clean using a cloth. Finish by rinsing the Grill Clean residue away with plenty of potable water. Brush surface with cooking oil. |
| Deep Fryers | Let the cooking oil cool, then drain it out. Partly fill fryer with cold water and add GRILL CLEAN at the rate of 40ml per litre of water. Top the fryer up with water to the upper oil level and heat it to boiling. Keep it simmering until the surface comes up clean. Use a brush to apply the solution to any greasy areas around the fryer. Drain solution while adding cold water at the same time to reduce the shock of the temperature change. Finally, rinse with clean water to remove all of the solution. |
