How Does Agar First Base Work?
A clear, tough acrylic film is formed within the floor surface itself. That film locks out spills and dirt and prevents dust from lifting out of concrete. As a base coat it excels by filling the floor’s pores and creating a smooth, level foundation for topcoats, which greatly extends the life of the film.
How to Apply Agar First Base
Agar First Base is applied using a brush, short-nap roller, paint pad or string mop.

What Surfaces Can Agar First Base Be Used On?
This clear, non-slip polish is made to go on concrete, porous stone, terrazzo, timber and vinyl floors. As a water-based product it sets faster than solvent-based sealers, letting floors go back into use within hours. It is a strong choice for food storage areas, where solvents are not allowed. Strong UV resistance means the sealer works inside and outside, with the exception of outdoor timber decks that get wet in the rain. As a base-coat, it must only be applied straight onto the bare floor.
