What is Drain Solution?

Using advanced biologically active ingredients, this product breaks down and consumes the fats, food scraps and organic soil that collect in grease traps, drains and effluent waste systems. By taking away what odour-causing bacteria feed on, it deodorises drains and pipes with a track record of bad smells and complaints from people using the facilities. Its action is sustained for as long as soil remains, so it carries on digesting and clearing blockages well after staff have left the room. Under Safe Work Australia criteria, it is not classed as Corrosive.

How Does It Work?

The product is a stable, scented liquid suspension, carefully formulated with enzymes and microorganisms. Once it meets water or drain waste, the bacteria start multiplying and, working with the enzymes, feed on the organic waste in the system. In the end, that waste is reduced to simple water-soluble molecules and carbon dioxide. Removing their food source halts the growth of odour-causing bacteria. As a result, it is an excellent agent for preventing odours. A pleasant fragrance is included to make it more appealing to use.

Every plumbing system, septic tanks included, can be treated with it. Pipes and surfaces made of stainless steel, PVC, porcelain, chrome, cast iron or ceramic will not be damaged.

As a biologically active product, it must never be combined with bleach, sanitisers, disinfectants, hot water, or acidic or caustic detergents, since these would de-activate the beneficial enzymes and bacteria it relies on to work.
